I made these photo frames for my baby diary no.3 for Patchwork Tsushin magazine. This is my favorite project I've made for it because I so needed some cute frames to showcase monthly photos of Honoka :)
It was quite easy to put together, so I was able to finish them pretty quickly! I can hardly believe she is already 9 months old! I am looking forward to making more of these.
Along with the photo frames, I made this color cube. It will help me teach Honoka colors. Until she is old enough to understand the colors, she can play it by pulling the tabs. Babies love those!
And here are two blocks for the QAL for the baby quilt. I am quite looking forward to putting together this quilt although I don't know if anyone is following it lol.

ReplyDeleteThank you!! I don't know why the links didn't work. Several people purchased the magazine from both links, so I think they are both working. Maybe you can try again from a different computer?

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your dresden frames. Quite keen on dresden plates at the moment, although I've been making the pointy ones, cos they are easier to sew - big cheat!

Beautiful projects! I am a new subscriber (and a recent sewer), but I'd love to make a similar style cube for a friend's child - it's such an inspired idea..... Perhaps I've missed something from a previous post, but has a set of instructions been published for the cube? or perhaps it's in the Zakka book? I'd be very grateful for information on this!

DeleteOh your baby girl is so cute! This is the first time I've read your blog in AGES...since making some of your bento bags a few years ago, not on purpose of course! I recognise your daughter's beautiful little dress. Is it from a Japanese pattern book...I can't remember which one as I've lent some out, but I do remember making that same dress for my slightly bigger daughter a few years ago. I love your version. And it goes without saying that your other crafty stuff is pretty cool too.

I have heard of Patchwork Tsushin, but have never purchased a copy. Happy happy Mother's Day! Reading your blog and seeing all the pics of your beautiful daughter makes me miss having a baby in the house. My youngest is 14 going on 25! Lol Enjoy every minute because they do fly by fast. I was wondering if you would like some clothing patterns? I use to make my kids all their pajamas and the girls dresses and stuff. I have a wide variety of sizes and some haven't even been cut. I would hate to throw them out. I am in the states but I am used to mailing things to japan as my parents spent 7 beautiful years there for my dad's job. My moms favorite thing besides the brides and the politeness of the people were the cherry blossom trees. She would send me pics of how beautiful they were in full bloom.
