Reversible Tissue Box Cover

Reversible Tissue Box Cover
Hi all! Thanks for those of you who gave me an advice on
how to help the tomato plant grow better!! I bought
some fertilizer for it and am giving lots and lots of
water. In just two weeks, it got twice bigger, so I have
to go and get some stakes for the plant pretty soon!

By the way, this is the thing I wanted to show
you guys: Tissue Box Cover! I used a little scraps
and natural linen for this side. A little busy?
Maybe. Then just flip it over ;)

Reversible Tissue Box Cover

Woo Hoo! It's reversible!!
If this is something you guys want me to make
a free tutorial for, I'd love to. I've got all the
measurements down ;) It's easy to make and just like
the fabric basket, it is very practical and
decorative at the same time.

Reversible Tissue Box Cover

Elastic at the bottom helps the cover stays even
when you pull tissues roughly. I made one without it
at first and realized I need this or else the cover
would come off easily.

drawstring bag

I also finished the little scrappy drawstring bag.

Reversed:

Sewing is so much fun. I just love it.

Thanks for stopping by and reading!

  14. Everything you make is just so beautiful, of course I'd love to make a Kleenex box cover like yours! How come *my* finished items photographed on my rug never ever look a fraction as nice as yours? Oh, yeah, your carpet isn't stained and ugly...

Also coveting your Box Top there on the bottom of the box. If you're ever at a loss for who to give those to, I'd be happy to take them off your hands! :0)

  42. I popped into your blog yesterday morning to see how you attached your lining fabric to your fabric basket outer fabric, and I saw that tissue box cover, but I didn't have time to read about it (I had 20 minutes to finish a tote bag I was sewing for myself before we headed to church). We had lots of errands to run after church and I kept finding myself mulling over the construction of your tissue box cover in my mind. I would LOVE it if you could whip up a tutorial! It looks super simple to create, and I think that the covers would make wonderful Christmas presents...and I need to get started on those soon (I'm expecting my 3rd lil one in 5 weeks, so I have to take advantage of my 'free time' ha). Anyway, to end this rambling, please please please post a tutorial. =)

p.s. Your blog has got me itching to use up all of my scraps and horde even the smallest of scraps that I have. I can't wait to make one of your drawstring bags for my lil gal to carry around with her. Do you have a backpack version of it?

  44. Holy cow, this is weird timing. I was just putting a new box in my bathroom and thinking how ugly it was and how they never match my colors. I would LOVE a tutorial so I can make one that'll match my decor instead of settling for the store bought patterns.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yes Please for the tutorial! It is most generous of you to share your patterns. I think I know what my family will be getting for Christmas! The reversible idea is genius.

  46. I would enjoy seeing the tissue box cover tutorial...having a few of those covers would make my tissue-buying more pleasant. I spend way too much time looking for boxes that match my decor!

  50. Tutorial please!! Just found your blog today and am crushing big time! I use hankerchiefs but they're kleenex-sized flannel ones. I keep them folded up in a kleenex-box and pull 'em out tissue-style. However, I could definitely use a cover to hide the sad little tissue box (it's getting a little beat up....) Thanks so much!!

  51. Lovely, so easy and yet so clever, being reversible plus the elastic on the bottom! Would love your tutorial. Thank you.

  53. I've been off of the blogging scene for a few weeks, so I'm stopping by to say, "You're simply amazing!" :-)

I'm fresh out of ideas, since my focus has been otherwise directed lately. I'm itching to get onto my sewing machine after quite a long break. The tissue box cover is enticing. I think my mom would love to have one. I may just tackle it!

I'm off to continue catching up...
