Summer Bag

I've been very content about what the decision I've made to create this blog has brought for me. Many nice comments and e-mails that complement on my crafts and my blog from you guys are indescribably appreciated, and I gain much energy from them on a daily basis. Not only that I have become acquainted with many of you but that every once a while I find blogs where my link is put up as one of their favorite links. Oh my... I don't even know how I could put this feeling into words but seriously THANK YOU so much for all of you who take time to visit my blog and leave comments/e-mails that later becomes a source of my energy. Thanks a LOT!

I have a loooooong to-do-list that was meant to be completed by today: the last day of my short break before the summer session. My apartment was supposed to be absolutely clean and beautiful. There should have been many finished crafts by now. There should have been some nice shop updates ...but the reality is .. super messy yucky apartment, a few crafts done, and no shop updates whatsoever. Ugh.. This is how it goes every time I have a long to-do list. I kinda get excited about making the list but get tired of following all that and come up with many excuses to escape from it. At this moment my excuse is "I am on PMS!!"

Out of all the "MUST", "SHOULD", and "PREFERABLE" things in the list there was one thing I definitely wanted to finish by today, which is a bag that I was asked to make a long time ago. It's so long ago that I even feel like the girl might have forgotten ordering it! Though she was so nice to say I could take as much time as I need to make it, I was feeling bad about postponing this much. Anyway, I am glad I finally made it!

Very summerish! The customer chose the main fabric and the shape of the fabric which was similar to this one.

My plan was to add a fabric flower for the bag just like I put yo-yo- for this one but all the fabric flowers I made didn't come out right for the purpose and I started leaning toward Joe's opinion: "No flower works!"

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Thanks for reading!!

  1. That is absolutely beautiful. And I like it much better without the flower - cleaner and simpler. I stumbled across your blog a couple of weeks ago and love your things. Your little basket tutorial is definitely on my list of things I must make soon!

Thanks a lot for saying that this works w/o a flower. That really relieves me. If you make a basket, I would love to see it! Thanks for your nice comment!

  6. I wanted to stop by to let you know I made a basket. I was such a spaz while making it (forgot the fleece!)that I had to change things a bit. It won't be my last though! I love how you post links to the other baskets too. Very inspirational!
