One of my local stores I will definitely miss is
a grocery store called Trader Joe's. I bet many of you living
in the states know about it, but it is a chain store located
throughout America that produces such fun and unusual
original products. I sure love their food, but I am
not here to promote Trader Joe's products today.
I am here to share with you the packaging of their
products that inspire me. Their packages/labels are
so cute that sometimes I have to buy some stuff
for no other reason other than they are simply cute.
I always walk out the store itching to get
back to my sewing table. Is that weird?
Have a lovely day!
I love trader joes too and really like their signs in the store ( and the fabulous food!).
ReplyDeleteoh I love Trader Joe's. I always spend hours there when I'm visiting the States! And I end up with tons of food in my luggage!
ReplyDeleteGrace
I love Trader Joe's! Every time I come home from grocery shopping, I have to show my husband all the cute things I bought =D He just laughs at me and says...honey, only you think that groceries are cute.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to hear I'm not the only one that thinks Trader Joe's has cute stuff :)
I loooooove Trader Joe's. Good food and reasonable prices...I wish we had some here in Texas!
ReplyDeleteaw, trader joe's- i miss not having more nearby anymore :)
ReplyDeletealways a treat when we go :)
I was just a Trader Joe's this afternoon! My kiddos love it because the staff hides a stuffed monkey in the store and if kids find it they get to pick out a treat from the treasure chest at the register. And I agree that their packaging is always cute and creative!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of them...at least not around where I live. The packaging is so fun! =)
ReplyDeleteI can totally see how their packaging would inspire you! It's so cute. Love the biscuits and flour packages ♥
ReplyDeleteI made one of your fabric baskets today for Easter. I love that pattern! Thanks for sharing it!

I've always wanted to go to one, but we don't have them here in Canada. All of those pictures made me hungry.... AND I just ate :)
ReplyDeletethis *almost* brought a tear to my eye and a big smile, simultaneously! we used to live near a trader joes in california...and we would go there every second day...since we moved back to canada, trader joes is one of the things we really, really miss! in fact, we'd probably plan a trip back just to fill our car with stuff from there! thanks for the happy memory :)
ReplyDeleteI've never experienced a Trader Joe's. I'm missing out, apparently, as all my friends on-line rave about it.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin living in the States told me that Trader Joe's sells organic products. Is that right? It's cool to see the packaging, 'cause I just finished a book about sustainability (The Geography of Hope by Chris Turner), and a large portion of the book discusses how environmentalism basically needs to be newly marketed and branded. I think Turner visited a store in Arizona called Cy's or something like that, and said that all the packaging was actually green and looked really boring; basically enviro-friendly products and the whole lifestyle needed to be made sexy, stylish, and just as cool all the environmentally-unfriendly things we buy. It was a pretty interesting thought! He was arguing that one generation of Greenpeace/hippie environmentalism doesn't convince that many people, and indeed many people are turned off by it, so it's more important to adopt the language of contemporary marketing and make it suit your needs without people knowing it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, all that is to say that this packaging looks pretty great! I have no idea if this stuff is actually organic, LOL:)
Being in Australia..it is very interesting to see other shops and packaging from other countries and the range of product available. Those packages are particularly creative..especially for groceries!
ReplyDeleteso cute and vintage like, i would be inspired too
ReplyDeleteOMG! It looks good!
ReplyDeleteThese packaging are awesome
ReplyDelete- i also couldn't resist to buy!
They bring colour into your daily life :)
greetings from Spain,

I've seen their paper shopping bags framed!
ReplyDeleteI'm especially amused to have read your post within half an hour of coming home from Trader Joe's.
ReplyDeleteI grew up with TJ's. I now live 3 hours from the closest one in every direction. Let's just say I have been known to make the trek, fill the back of my car and then turn around for home.
ReplyDeleteI have a TJ's within walking distance from my house and I love love love it. I'm also lured into buying many of their products because of the packaging. I'm a sucker for good marketing, especially when the food is so good!
ReplyDeleteLove Trader Joe's!! You're right, the packages are really pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love Trader Joes and was so sorry that we didn't have one here in Michigan after visiting my sister in California and loving all the things they had there. Then lo and behold, we started getting them, and now one is a mile away from me. I'm in there all the time. They have the greatest things.
ReplyDeleteMy husband saw a 60 Minutes segment on Trader Joe's 2 Buck Chuck Wine and is obsessed about trying it should we ever get within a stone's throw of the store. Hard to do since we rarely go to the United States. I didn't realize they are in Michigan. That is actually do-able...hmmm...
ReplyDeleteThe groceries are cute!
I haven't been in a TJ lately. But, we are getting one soon! It is an old Circuit City store and across the street from Costco and near Goodwill and my LQS (local quilt shop). What more could a girl ask for?
ReplyDeleteI just went there last week and have now addicted someone i know to it, I am an enabler ;o) I have almost everything you pictured there,LOL! I did live where it was just about walking distance in CA to an hour drive here in VA. SO worth the trip!!!! I can see why you will miss it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks yummy and I love the packaging. Shame we don't have them in England :( xx
ReplyDeleteHannah
It is an inspiring store! And your post is making me hungry. The nearest Trader Joe's is about 45 min. from where I live - I always take a big cooler in my car when I know I'll be nearby.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteYour posts are always brimming with inspiration, Ayumi! May be I should look more closely around my surroundings for quilty inspiration.. :) The packages at Trader joes are wonderful!

ReplyDeleteI love Trader Joe's! They do have cute stuff, I think it's time for another trip to TJ's!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for a while, but I never leave a comment, shame on me!
ReplyDeleteI live in Switzerland so I don't know that brand, but the packages are just amazing! :D
By the way, I take the opportunity to tell that I live your work!
