I hope your past week was filled with laughter
and crafty moments. Today I'd like to introduce
a couple of handmade gifts that have been given
to be me this year. The super cute potholder above
is from Erica of Craftyblossom. Erica has been
such a sweet, inspirational blog friend for me.
I found a surprise package from her the other day
in the mail which included this potholder as
well as other little gifts. ...Oh my!!!
Do I need to explain how much I love the potholder?!
I don't think I need to, because it's toooooooo
obvious that I am in love with the colors, designs,
style, and pretty much the whole awesome idea, right?!
So warm. No way can I use it in my kitchen.
I will put it up on the wall where I can see
it every single day to give myself a lift up!
Thank you so much, Erica!!!!
Could any pincushion be prettier than this one?
This one is from Susan, who has been very
supportive and nice ever since we 'met' here.
It might not be easy to tell from this picture,
but the tummy of the little penguin is baby pink!
Pink Penguin, exactly!!
It's just so cute and handy. I didn't realize
how much I needed a little pincushion like this
until I started using this one. It stays very close
to me when I am at my sewing table because
it makes me smile and appreciate my creativity
which had led me to make lots of great friends
like you all. Thank you so much, Susan!!!!
Here is another warm, sweet handmade gift that
I am very lucky to own. Mary is also a great friend
I made through my blog. She was very generous and
kind to send me a lot of rare vintage fabric which
I've already used for some of my projects.
I'd been meaning to make something like this that
would help me carry threads and a little scissor.
I love how beautiful and practical this little
one is for me. Thank you so much, Mary!!!!
Here is the pencil pouch I was working on which
I finished yesterday. I really love how it turned out.
It will be sent to a girl who likes tulips,
so I used this cute tulips fabric for lining.
This puffy pouch will also be hers ;)
I really hope she'll like them!
Speaking of a puffy pouch, I've seen many pretty
puffy pouches in this flickr pool as well as
in some crafty blogs! Some folks came up with
really neat ideas such as adding a chain to
it and enlarging it to make a big purse!
Very creative!!
Thank you for taking your time to read my post;)
Have a great Sunday afternoon!
You are so welcome! Look at all the nice things you got! And thanks again for all the inspiration... :)
ReplyDeleteyou are a lucky girl! the gifts are beautiful and the pencil case turned out lovely! :)

ReplyDeleteLucky ... to have beautiful gifts from dear friends :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your pencil case design, the zig zag sewing line made it more gorgeous!
wow...
ReplyDeletei loved the potholder too....
simple yet meaningful with the 'thank you' word.
to touch one's heart, not the price matters but words do so...
psstt: could i request one :P of the 'paper' potholder . well, just joking.
Do you have a tutorial for your pouches? I'm struggling with a lined pouch - the ends of the zipper aren't square with the fabric (at the corners) and tend to fold in. Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I love that potholder! I may have to try and make something similar, can you imagine a little love note like that? So cute.
ReplyDeleteI read your tutorial on how to make the little pouch and I made one, so fun! I will post a blog about it soon linking back to your tute. Thanks again :)
